Lakewood Township is a township in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2010 Census the township had a total population of 92,843, making Lakewood the largest community in Ocean County. The 2010 population represented an increase of 32,491 (53.8%) from the 60,352 residents enumerated during the 2000 Census, with the township ranking as the seventh-largest municipality in the state in 2010 after having been ranked 22nd in 2000.
